Giving it the Rockstar treatment

In his latest blog for the Huffington Post UK, Managing Partner David Atkinson highlights a few similarities between the success of Rockstar’s GTA 5 videogame and the Arctic Monkeys. It seems that 5 rather than 3, is the magic number.

Huffington Post  UK – 5 is the magic number

Busking it with Passenger

Mat O’Brien, our newly appointed Creative Director has directed and produced the new video for the world’s most famous busker ‘Passenger’. Mat explains:

“The video was shot in Passenger’s home town of Brighton, Mike (Passenger) started off his music career busking and now, even with a number one single in over 15 countries he still takes to the streets of every city he plays in to perform a free show. When you have a story like this there is no need for a high concept video – Mike is the concept.

We tweeted the news that Mike would be performing in Brighton’s Pavilion Gardens and over 300 people made their way down to be part of the video.”

Now That’s What I Call Music 2013

2013 music

It’s the first Friday of 2013 and so that also means it’s the first all-agency Friday Playlist of 2013 too. It’s where we ask everyone in the office to submit at least 5 random music tracks to our latest Spotify playlist, so we can disrupt complement the daily working environment in a funky Friday way.

There’s no theme laid down this week – so if you’re looking for a broad selection of hot new tips for the year as well as potential Next-Big-Things rubbing shoulders with the odd ’80s starlet, indie revivalists and some iffy soul/rap (thanks to Tass in the studio) – then you know where to find it.

And if you don’t know where to find it, please click here.

Oh – and belated happy new year to everyone. Here’s hoping that 2013 is filled with success, laughs, health and happiness. And hopefully, marginally less rain.
