Brazilliant news!

Apologies about the shameless Daily Star-esque pun, but please forgive us, because hot off the press from the other side of the world in Rio de Janerio last night…. we’re thrilled to confirm that we’ve got to make room in the trophy bookcase for another accolade.

Yes, having already won a clutch of awards for our Smithy The Horse campaign for John Smith’s through the likes of the MAA, IPM and European IMC ceremonies, we were at it again in the sunny climes of Rio, at the 2011 MAAW Globe Awards.

More details will follow when our intrepid traveller David returns with the trophy tucked in the hand luggage but for now, here are the basics:

  • We’ve won a Globe from the 2011 MAAW Globe Awards
  • It’s for our already successful Smithy the Horse campaign on behalf of John Smith’s (part of the Heineken UK portfolio). 
  • Awarded Gold in the Best Retail, Key Account or Channel Specific Campaign category
  • We beat Ground4d who were shortlisted for their Coors work, as well as another agency’s campaign for Mercedez-Benz Vans
  • To qualify, we had to win a Gold IPM and then get shortlisted for a Globe
  • We’ve won a Globe! (oh, I think we’ve said that already)

So there we go. Great news to end another busy week at Space Towers.
