Fun-sized lunchtime treats

In between pitches and long brainstorm sessions, our Senior Account Director Sean Kelly has been trying to set aside a few minutes each day, just to watch the latest instalment of the Foster’s Funny campaign.

For the last couple of weeks I’ve had a grin on my face most lunchtimes – not because of the hot Italian chicken special from around the corner, but instead, I’ve been enjoying the latest instalment of the Foster’s Funny campaign.

Vic & Bob’s Afternoon Delights has replaced Alan Partridge’s Mid Morning Matters and for me, it’s been a success.

The bite size 4min sketches had me from smiling, to full-on bent double trying to breathe whilst not looking like an idiot in front of my colleagues. Foster’s have left Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer to themselves to create the clips, and this is where they really pay off.

The sketches are loose and free-flowing, with gaffes left in – mostly the cameraman or Bob corpsing or laughing and this invites the viewer in.
Whereas the Alan Partridge clips are tight and with a narrative (don’t get me wrong, they still made me laugh), this is all out fun and great for the office banter that follows.

The Afternoon Delights run of clips with culminate with a live show with new sketches including some of the favourites from those characters created for the web, which you can win tickets to on Facebook by removing Vic’s Pants!

I’m convinced.

Just a little more of the ‘Free Runners’ and ‘Dr. Shakamoto’ and my weekday lunchtimes will be complete.
